Windows XP - Group similar taskbar buttons options

 

Overview: A new feature of Windows XP is the group similar taskbar buttons option. The two options are Clustering and Grouping:

1. Clustering - Items opened from the same program are placed next to each other on the taskbar.
2. Grouping - Items opened from the same program are grouped together into one button on the taskbar.
3. The Group similar taskbar buttons option is selected by default; to clear this option, follow these steps:

4. Right-click the taskbar, and scroll to PROPERTIES.

5. Click the checkbox to clear Group similar taskbar buttons.

6. Click OK.
