Windows XP - Displaying the Missing Security Tab

Overview:For Windows XP computers that are not part of a domain, the default is to have the Security tab hidden. To display the security tab, execute the following instructions.

1. Right-click TOOLS and scroll to FOLDER OPTIONS.
2. Click on VIEW.
3. Under ADVANCED SETTINGS, scroll down and clear the checkbox for "Use Simple File Sharing."
4. Click OK.
5. The security tab should now be visible under folder properties.
