Symantec - Configuring Symantec Endpoint Protection To Allow Microsoft File and Printer Sharing

Overview: After installing Symantec Endpoint Protection, the client may lose Microsoft file and printer sharing functionality. The following steps will correct this.

1. Open Symantec Endpoint Protection.
2. Under Network Threat Protection, click on OPTIONS and scroll to CHANGE SETTINGS.
3. Click on the MICROSOFT WINDOWS NETWORKING tab.
4. Select SHARE MY FILES AND PRINTERS WITH OTHERS ON THE NETWORK.
5. Click OK.
6. Close Symantec Endpoint Protection.
