Outlook - Locating or Deleting the Outlook Cached Addresses File

Overview: When using Microsoft Outlook, addresses are cached in a hidden file and will auto-fill the address field when you type the first few letters of a previously used address. There is no way to edit this file but if you can rename or delete the file. Once deleted, it will be recreated so you may need to delete again later.

1. If using Windows XP, click on START | SEARCH | FOR FILES OR FOLDERS.
2. In the left pane, click on ALL FILES AND FOLDERS.
3. Click MORE ADVANCED OPTIONS.
4. Select SEARCH HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS.
5. Search for *.nk2.
6. When the file is found, delete or rename it.
