Outlook - Changing the Default Outlook View From Shortcut View to Folder List View

 

Overview: Outlook 2003 defaults to shortcut view in the left pane. Use the following instructions to use the folder view instead.

 

1. Run REGEDIT.
2. Go to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\WunderBar. If the key WunderBar doesn’t exist, create it.
3. In the WunderBar key, create the DWORD Value BootModule.
4. Assign the values below for the default view you’d like to use:

  • 0 - Start with Mail folders displayed
  • 5 -  Start with Folder List displayed
  • 6 -  Start with Shortcuts list displayed

5. Restart Outlook.
