Outlook - Accessing Blocked Attachments

 

Overview: For security reasons, Outlook blocks access to certain attachments. To access these attachments, use the below instructions:

1. Start REGEDIT.
2. Expand HKCU | SOFTWARE | MICROSOFT | OFFICE | 11.0 | OUTLOOK | SECURITY.
3. Right-Click SECURITY and scroll to NEW | STRING VALUE and name it "Level1Remove."
4. For the value, enter a semicolon-delimited list of file extensions like this:

.mdb;.url;.msi

5. Exit regedit.
6. Exit Outlook and restart.
7. You should now be able to access the desired attachments.
